A San Diego native and graduate of Westminster College (B.M. in Piano Performance), JD blends jazz elegance, Latin influences, and contemporary style into performances that elevate every moment.
At 19, JD spent a year traveling throughout South America as a street musician, immersing himself in Latin rhythms and developing the charismatic, engaging performance style he’s known for today. His “south-of-the-border” sensibility adds vibrancy and authenticity to cocktail hours and receptions alike. His effortless ability to execute on-the-spot audience requests (yes, even in Spanish) delights guests of all ages.
With over 15 years of professional performance experience, JD has shared stages with members of Earth, Wind & Fire, The String Cheese Incident, Slightly Stoopid, and Matisyahu. He is a staple of Utah’s jam, funk, and dance music scenes, performing with his band “Superbubble” and the Brazilian samba ensemble “The Brazuca Band.” He is also a seasoned dueling piano performer at “The Tavernacle” in Salt Lake City and has entertained at premier piano venues around the world. He brings years of experience, crowd-reading expertise, and a knack for creating magic and fun to every event.

As the owner of a luxury vacation rental business for nearly a decade, he understands the importance of seamless execution, white-glove service, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
